The New Vision Printing and Publishing Company Ltd is looking to recruit a dynamic, self-motivated individual to ﬁll the role of a DRIVER.

Job Title: DRIVER TRANSPORT
Reports To: SUPERVISOR
Location: Kampala - 1 | Mbarara - 1

Job Purpose

Transport staff and company products to assigned destinations and ensure the vehicles are kept in good condition at all times

Key Result Areas

Handle all driving assignments as approved by the supervisor;
Carry out daily pre and post-vehicle maintenance checks;
Adhere to the highest driving standards by complying with the transport policy and the road safety act.
Ensure the assigned vehicle has all the required documentation at all times.
Ensure daily cleanliness of assigned vehicle.

Qualification and Experience

A Uganda Certificate of Education (U.C.E).
A certificate in defensive driving.
The applicant must possess a valid driving permit with at least 3 classes; B, C1, D1 & BE
At least 3 years of driving experience in a commercial environment

Technical competences

Basic knowledge of vehicle mechanics.
Basic computer skills.
Good knowledge of Uganda’s road network.

Behavioral competencies

Ability to write, read and speak English fluently.
Excellent communication (oral & written) and interpersonal skills.
Should have a high level of integrity and confidentiality
Ability to work a flexible schedule with odd hours and night shifts.
