Save the Mothers is a Canadian, Christian faith-based charity, with affiliate organizations in East Africa & the USA.
Job Location - Save the Mothers East Africa (STMEA), Uganda Christian University (UCU), Mukono.
VISION: No mother or child should die from preventable causes related to pregnancy and childbirth

JOB DESCRIPTION

LEADERSHIP
• Coordinate the key stakeholders of STMEA to ensure smooth running of the organization. • Ensure maintenance of STM governance tools and permits in current status
• Initiate and drive strategic thinking, planning and implementation in consistency with mission, vision of STM
• Initiate Board meetings and report to the Board the progress towards the STM vision
• Initiate policy development, management and implementation
• Oversee and guide the Annual Conference
• Collaborate with UCU faculty and administration in support of the Master of Public Health Leadership (MPHL) program
• Teach in the MPHL program, supervise dissertations, advise and mentor students and staff

FUNDRAISING: Identify opportunities for interventions to improve maternal health and initiate resource mobilization FINANCIAL

MANAGEMENT: Accounting officer for STMEA
FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: Accounting officer for STMEA

PARTNERSHIPS: Initiate and utilize new partnerships in the execution of the STM mission

HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT: Guide the recruitment, selection, motivation, mentoring, supervision, performance management, and evaluation of the STMEA staff of three.

Other responsibilities assigned by the STM Boards STMEA Executive Director reports to STM Canada & STMEA Board.

Salary: Attractive remuneration.

Job Specifications:
• A minimum of a master's degree in a health-related discipline such as Master of Medicine in Obstetrics and Gynecology, Sexual and Reproductive Health, Public Health, and any other equivalent postgraduate degree.
• Experience with International Programs and Finance Management
• At least five years’ experience in leadership.
• A Christian faith-based background is required
