Compassion International is a child development ministry that pairs compassionate people with children and families affected by poverty. Compassion International Uganda started in 1980 in Uganda and has partnered with hundreds of different evangelical churches across the country. We are Christ Centered, Child Focused, and Church Driven, partnering with churches and denominations in over 25 countries. Our mission is to release children from poverty in Jesus’ name, and our approach is holistic with a desire for each child to become a responsible and fulfilled Christian ADULT.
We seek to recruit an individual for the position of
1. Program Support Specialist – Early Childhood Development ( ECD) – the role will support the implementation of holistic child development programs and interventions. The Specialist generally provides highly competent knowledge in one holistic development subspecialty and is helpful in others. At this career level, the incumbent contributes to the local program design, performing independently and participating on a team for major or complex initiatives.
Reporting Structure: The position reports to the Manager of Program Support Specialist. Duty Station: The position is based at the National Office in Kololo, Kampala.
2. Partnership Facilitator - The role of a Partnership Facilitator -PF will be interacting with the local church to build capacity and resources of local church partners to minister to children and youth in their own context. This Facilitator is responsible for supporting relationships with church partners in a way that fosters mutual respect, trust, and service that builds up church ministry. At this level the incumbent may still be learning and assisting with moderately complex issues or projects for his or her assigned location and generally works under the guidance of her or his supervisor or a more experienced facilitator or as a team member on larger projects.
