Job Description

Bayport Financial Services (U) Ltd is a leading non-deposit taking financial institution established in 2004, licensed and regulated by the Uganda Microfinance Regulatory Authority. We plan to hire dynamic, qualified, and skilled individuals to fill the following vacancies.

1. Area Manager – Central Region
Job summary: The incumbent will be in charge of acquisition, retention, growth, service, and relationship management in the region and uphold the brand and name of Bayport Uganda within its chosen segment and customer space. The Area Manager will lead all sales relationships in the region and oversee a group of Branches within the region.
Qualifications and experience:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in any business or professional training is desirable.
• 5 years sales supervisory experience in the financial industry.
• Good computer skills (Excel & Word) and strong leadership skills.

2. Call Center Supervisor – Head Office Kampala
Job summary: The incumbent will be responsible for managing, training and assessing call center teams to provide excellent service to customers and respond to questions, complaints and troubleshoot problems. The incumbent shall play a vital role in enhancing business growth, by ensuring that all agents achieve their set sales targets.
Qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Commerce or such related discipline with a bias in computing and customer service.
• 3 years proven experience as Call Center Supervisor or similar supervisory position.
• Experience in customer service and Tele center operations is essential.

3. Arrears Collection Supervisor – Head Office Kampala
Job summary: The Arrears Collections Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the non-performing loans and ensuring that all loans in arrears are effectively monitored to significantly reduce loan delinquency. This is through adequately formulating, developing and implementing appropriate strategies to recover all arrears through staff, commission agents, external debt collectors etc.
Qualifications and experience:
• Business Degree in Economics, Social work, Humanities, Commerce or Business Administration.
• At least five years of related working experience in credit.
• 3 years in a supervisory role with a Bank, regulated financial institution, microfinance institution, reputable SACCO etc.
• Experience in Debt management and excellent reporting is a great advantage.

4. Zonal Collections Officer (North, West, East and Central)
Job summary: The Officer will be responsible for the collection of outstanding debts from clients within the geographical zone/ area properly defined. This is through recruitment and working with collections champions to inform customers of their overdue debts and collect payment to mitigate company losses.
Qualifications and experience:
• A Bachelor’s Degree in any Business or humanities course is desirable.
• 2 years’ experience in credit or sales and marketing.
• Previous experience working as a Collections Officer is an advantage.
