In October, 2008 Parliament passed the Uganda Road Fund Act, the object of which is to fi nance the routine and periodic maintenance of public roads in Uganda from earmarked road user charges. The Fund has a duty to fi nance the implementation of the Annual Road Maintenance Programmes that are carried out by the Uganda National Roads Authority, Kampala Capital City Authority and the other designated roads agencies responsible for District, Urban and Community Access Roads.
The day to day business of the Fund is to be carried out by a Secretariat, managed by an Executive Director. The Board now invites applications from suitably qualifi ed individuals for the position of Executive Director of the Road Fund. CLICK HERE FOR MORE ON THIS NOTICE
